Dear Colleagues and Students,
We are proud to host the 9th International and 20th National Nursing Congress in its 40th year, organized in collaboration with the Turkish Nurses Association and the Department of Nursing at the Faculty of Health Sciences, Atılım University, with the support and participation of our specialized nursing associations. This long-standing congress of the nursing community will take place in May, when International Nurses Week is celebrated worldwide, in our capital city, Ankara. A special program dedicated to our students will also be featured in our congress, which will be held on May 14–16, 2026, at Atılım University’s conference halls and auditoriums.
Our congress theme has been determined as “PRODUCING HEALTH FROM THE NATIONAL TO THE GLOBAL: THE POWER OF NURSING” Guided by scientific knowledge and professional values, we believe that our profession—with its dedication and efforts—is the greatest force in producing planetary health. In this congress, where we will address current issues of nursing in national and global contexts, we aim to re-examine the evolving perception of health, our professional definitions, philosophy, and values; to discuss nursing labor advocacy from a historical perspective in both national and international contexts; to reflect on our country’s progress in nursing education, management, and practice; and to determine, together, the responsibilities that fall upon us in building a stronger healthcare system and stronger nursing profession, and to move into action collectively.
We look forward to achieving this goal together with you and cordially invite all our students and colleagues to join our congress.
Kind regards,
Congress Co-Chair
