Abstract Submission Guidelines

1- Abstracts will be collected through the abstract submission system available on the congress website; therefore, the font size and style will be set automatically by the system.
2- Internationally accepted abbreviations may be used in the abstract text. If a special abbreviation is used, it should be defined in parentheses at its first mention.
3- Abstracts must be submitted in both Turkish and English.
4- Original research, systematic reviews, and reviews are accepted.
5- The abstract text should not exceed 300 words, excluding title, author names, affiliations, and keywords).
6- Abstracts should be prepared in Times New Roman, 12 pt, 1.5-line spacing.
7- The abstract title should be concise, reflect the content, and not contain abbreviations. Each word in the title should begin with a capital letter. In Turkish titles, conjunctions such as “ve” should be lowercase; in English titles, prepositions such as “on” and “of” should be lowercase. Turkish characters should not be used in English titles.
8- Original research abstracts should be structured as follows:
o For English abstracts: Introduction and Aim, Method, Results, Conclusion
9- Case report abstracts should be structured as follows:
o For English abstracts: Introduction and Aim, Case(s), Conclusion
10- Review abstracts should be written as unstructured text including the aim of the review.
11- Keywords should include a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 5 words. All words should be in lowercase except for proper nouns, and no punctuation marks should be placed at the end of the keywords.
12- Author names should be listed in the order used in the study. The name of the presenting author should be underlined.
13- Academic titles should not be included in author names. Only the first letter of each name should be capitalized.
14- Institution names and addresses (university name, faculty/department, city, and country) must be specified for all authors.
15- Figures, tables, or references should not be included in the abstract text.

Abstracts submitted for presentation at the 9th International 20th National Nursing Congress, to be held on May 14–16, 2026 at the Atılım University Congress Center in Ankara, Türkiye, will be accepted online via the abstract module available on the congress website (hemsirelikkongresi.com) starting from October 1, 2025. Abstracts not adhering to the submission guidelines will not be evaluated.

1- Abstracts can be submitted online through the abstract submission module available on the congress website at hemsirelikkongresi.com.
2- Abstracts submitted by email, fax, or other means will not be accepted.
3- After completing your submission, please keep your reference number assigned by the system and do not forget your login password.
4- Abstracts submitted via the online system cannot be modified once the submission process is completed.
5- The final submission deadline for abstracts is April 15, 2026. Abstracts submitted after this date will not be accepted, and no submitted abstracts will be withdrawn after this deadline.
6- Accepted abstracts will be presented either as oral or poster sessions.
7- A researcher may submit a maximum of two abstracts as the first author.
8- All abstracts will be peer-reviewed. Based on the evaluation, abstracts will be accepted as either oral or poster presentations.
9- The evaluation results, including the presentation dates, and the poster numbers will be announced on the congress website on April 30, 2026.
10- At the end of the congress, awards will be presented to the top three oral and top three poster presentations, as determined by the evaluation committee.



Oral Presentation

1- Oral presentations may be delivered in Turkish or English. Each presentation should be planned for a total of 8 minutes, including 6 minutes for presentation and 2 minutes for discussion.
2- All presentations must be delivered on the day, time, and in the session hall specified in the congress program. Session details will be provided to the presenter in advance.
3- Abstracts that are not presented will not be published in the abstract book.
4- The presenter must be one of the authors or co-authors.
5- Presentation files should be checked and submitted to the technical staff before the session starts.
6- The names of all authors should appear on the first slide of the presentation.
7- The name of the presenting author must be underlined in the author list.



Poster Presentation

1- Posters must not exceed A0 size (841 mm × 1189 mm) and must not be smaller than A2 size (420 mm × 594 mm).
2- Each poster must include the following sections: Title, Authors, Affiliations, Main Text.
3- Original research posters should include the following sections: Introduction and Aim, Method, Results, Table(s), Discussion, Conclusion, and References.
4- Case report posters should include: Introduction and Aim, Case(s), Discussion, Conclusion, and References.
5- Review posters should include the following sections: Introduction and Aim, Subheadings (if any), Conclusion, and References.
6- Poster presenters are required to display their posters in printed form at the designated poster exhibition area throughout the congress. Posters must be placed in the assigned area on the date and time that will be announced later.



Full-Text Submission Guidelines

1- Submission of a full-text manuscript is not mandatory. Participation in the congress is possible with an abstract only.
2- Full-texts can be uploaded to the Online Abstract Submission System after the announcement of the abstract evaluation results. Participants whose abstracts are not accepted will not be allowed to upload full-texts. Authors wishing to have their accepted abstracts published in full-text format must upload their full-texts to the system no later than April 15, 2026. Full-texts sent via email, fax, or postal mail will not be considered.
3- Full-texts must be written in Turkish (or optionally in English) and contain a minimum of 1,000 words and a maximum of 2,500 words, excluding title, author information, and references.
4- Full-texts should be prepared in Times New Roman, 12 pt, 1.5-line spacing.
5- The full-text title should be concise, reflect the content, and not contain abbreviations. Each word in the title should begin with a capital letter. In Turkish titles, conjunctions such as “ve” should be written in lowercase; in English titles, prepositions such as “on” and “of” should be written in lowercase. Turkish characters should not be used in English titles.

7- Authors’ institution names and addresses (university name, faculty/department, city, and country) must be provided.

9- Full-texts for case reports should be structured as follows:
o For submissions in English: Abstract, Introduction and Aim, Case(s), Discussion, Conclusion, References
10- Full-texts for reviews should be structured as follows:
o For submissions in English: Abstract, Introduction and Aim, Subheadings (if any), Conclusion, References
11- Keywords must consist of 3–5 words, separated by semicolons (;), written in alphabetical order, with only the first keyword starting with a capital letter.
12- All tables and figures/graphics must have titles and be placed in the order they appear in the text. Figures should be in digital JPEG format with a resolution of 300 dpi.
13- References must follow the Vancouver style.
14- In-text citations must be numbered consecutively in order of appearance and the reference list should follow the same sequence. Reference numbers should be placed in parentheses within the text. If multiple references are cited, they should be separated by commas.



Publication of Abstracts

1- All abstracts accepted and presented as oral presentations will be published electronically in the “9th International 20th National Nursing Congress Abstract Book.” All responsibilities related to the submitted abstracts (e.g., obtaining ethical approval for research studies, accurate citation of references, adherence to grammar rules) rest with the authors.
2- All participants are required to present their oral and/or poster abstract during the congress. Abstracts that are not presented will not be published in the abstract book.
